Helen Baker-Pawling – Isle of Wight Fitness Instructor

I’m Helen Baker-Pawling, a group exercise instructor based on the Isle of Wight, and I’ve been teaching fitness classes for over 23 years.

I’m passionate about helping people feel stronger, more confident, and happier through movement. Over the years, I’ve built my classes around being friendly, inclusive, and supportive—so no matter your age, ability, or experience, you’ll always feel welcome.

I teach a variety of classes including Fitness Pilates, Paracise, Dance Fitness, and HIIT Interval training, giving you a choice of low-impact, strength-focused, or more energetic sessions depending on what suits you best.

You’ll find me teaching across Ryde, Wootton, and Lake, where I’ve created a real sense of community within my classes. For me, it’s not just about exercise—it’s about helping people enjoy moving, reduce stress, and build confidence in a relaxed and supportive environment.

I know starting a class for the first time can feel daunting, which is why I focus on making every session approachable and pressure-free. I especially love supporting beginners and those returning to exercise, helping you build confidence at your own pace.

My Fitness Pilates and Paracise classes are ideal if you’re looking for something low-impact and joint-friendly, while my Dance Fitness and HIIT classes are perfect if you want something fun, energising, and motivating.

After more than two decades of teaching, I still love what I do—helping people create healthy habits, feel good in themselves, and enjoy the benefits of regular exercise.
